Back in the 90’s, 3D cartoons were all the rage. They were something new and exciting, and Reboot was proof that it could work. Kids today don’t know how bad they have it. The 90’s was also a time of loosening censorship. Swears were becoming more frequent, adult situations were becoming the norm, and explosions and blood were old hat. This was reflected in the world of kids shows too, even if it was a lot more subtle. There was plenty of censorship, sure, but holes were definitely forming. Some might accuse me of wearing nostalgia goggles, and maybe they’re right, but these are 3D nostalgia goggles.
