First gear in my giant robot car

When you think of a cartoon that has effected the way cartoons are made today chances are this might not be on your list. However I bet one or more of the shows you named might be something that effected this show. Megas XLR was a trip into your childhood while at the same time making a spot for its self. The pilot aired during the 2002 Cartoon Network Summer fest with the title of Lowbrow. The Summer fest similar to 2000’s Big Pick aired pilots of shows that were waiting for approval. Needless to say Megas XLR was picked as a new show and soon made it’s way into the homes and hearts of many fans.

Robotech: American cartoon epic or best anime dub ever made?

I’m going to start off by stating the obvious. Robotech was awesome. This is pretty common knowledge. For those who don’t know, Robotech was an adaptation of 3 separate anime series into one new series intended for distribution in America. The ensuing result went from a debatable risk to one of the greatest sci-fi works ever made. But is it really still an anime?

Freak-a me? No sir freak-a YOU!

Let me take you back to the simpler time of 1995 and a show made of stock footage and awesome. You know what I’m talking about: Freakazoid. Like most shows that started on the Kid’s WB, it didn’t get the attention it deserved. However, like many other shows on the Kid’s WB, it eventually aired on Cartoon Network where it was able to reach a larger audience. The rest you can say is history. For the most part. As a series Freakazoid only went on for two seasons over a course of two years. Despite the short run, it still holds a place in a lot of people’s hearts.
